Rock Pools In Sydney.
During my stay here in Sydney I have noticed a particular kind of swimming pools. Man made rock pools filled with sea water.
After years of traveling around the Mediterranean Sea I have never seen such pools there. I think it's an ingenious way to build pools near the sea, actually sometimes I should say "in the sea". Those pools give everyone the chance to swim in salty sea water, which is good for your body and refreshing on a hot summer day, while being save and not afraid of sharks nibbling on your legs.
It's also a perfect spot for kids while still learning how to swim, as the big surf on the beaches can be to dangerous.
The size of the pools may vary, some are small while other are Olympic sized poolsLots of Sydney suburbs along the coast have their own pools the most famous one is for sure the Icebergs pool in Bondi part of the Icebergs Swimming Club. Once a year members are required to swim laps in the pool after throwing in there large blocks of ice to show that they are tough.
The iconic pools offers some of the best views while swimming there with a stylish restaurant, bar and coffee shop near by.
A fresh coffee, breakkie, the "The Sydney Morning Herald" newspaper and some laps in the pool. Can it get better?
