Cycling from Phuket to Bangkok.

The December 2022 I decided to travel to Thailand, finally. Travelling was possible again and I was really looking forward to it. I chose Thailand as it is an easy country to explore and I do love Asia and the Asian people.

Due to to ticket prices is took Oman Air to Phuket. I would have preferred Bangkok but it was ok.

“What are you doing all alone there, you will get bored and lonely, you should cycle”.

The words of a friend of mine and he was right so I bought a bicycle in Phuket, at Thalang bike shop and focused on my target.

I will cycle to Bangkok!

I bought some bike bags at Decathlon and started. I am by no means a good bicycle rider but I do use the bike quiet a bit and I like it. The first days went smooth, heat was a bit of an issue but nothing extreme. A long shirt and a straw hat was enough protection.

I left Phuket island and followed the west coast all the way to Ranong. Apart lots of flat tires all was going well.

So the ride begins…
