Anchor tips, get a Spade!

Recently I wrote about upgrading my anchor chain. I will write a short post in the coming weeks. Today I would like to talk about the anchor itself. I have used Hallberg-Rassy‘s original CQR.for a couple of years. Last year I bought a Spade anchor and I am in love. This anchor is absolutely great, it’s costly but it’s worth every cent. There wasn’t one night where I dragged anchor and many times I dived on this piece of hardware and I can tell you that most of the time it digs into the soil in about a meter. I didn’t change the anchor roller it works with the existing and doesn’t hit the boat when released. TOP!
